Inform * Influence * Impact: OPTiC’s vision for older people with sight loss in Staffordshire and York

On  July 19th 2013, RNIB launched the Stop for Me Speak to Me bus campaign in Stoke-on-Trent. The Swap with Me event kick started two weeks of action and involved 25 blind and partially sighted people sharing and exchanging experiences with bus drivers, managers and local MP Tristram Hunt. Channel 4 News, BBC Radio In Touch and local BBC radio covered the event which was aired on Channel 4 News, on July 24th.

Stop for Me Speak to Me illustrates a core value of OPTiC – supporting older people with sight loss to take control through campaigning for improvements to local service provision.
