Introducing our new Staying Active Assistant

Partner update: Jayne Palmer

We recently recruited Jayne Prokic to this post in place of Chris Moore who unfortunately had to leave the project. Jayne is married with three daughters and is an ex-nurse. She completed her nurse training at Stafford District General Infirmary and worked with the elderly until 1989. Her hobbies are reading, crosswords and walking her Heinz 57 dog named Scruffy.

Jayne is currently undergoing induction to her new role but met her OPTiC clients at a pub lunch last week besides gaining experience working alongside colleagues at other Staying Active clubs. She has lots of ideas around activities that can be done at the club and is looking forward to welcoming new clients. Jayne has completed Eyes Right screening training and also received visual awareness and guiding tuition. Part of Jayne’s role will be attending local health awareness events run by the local council to promote the Silver Dreams OPTiC project.
